It’s been a roller coaster of a ride in these last few weeks. I’m still dealing with back issues; caught a nasty chest cold; and have been dealing with a lot of household stuff recently.
Let’s start with the number, I’ve lost a total of 54 pounds since beginning Wegovy in April. My energy is higher, my general aches and pains have lessened, and my overall sense of accomplishment has soared.
I’ve experienced a few setbacks along the way, but I’m much better at bouncing back than in previous attempts at losing weight.
I have gone back to the gym at a reduced rate. Unfortunately, my back is continuing to give me too many fits to go more than 3 times a week for a half an hour each time. I need recovery days in between.
I am noticing most of my clothes don’t fit at all, and it’s kinda hysterical. But, I’m committed to not buying anything else until I am smaller.
My doctor, who is moving to KY 😭, asked if I had a goal. I said, I don’t have an exact number, but know it’s probably on the low end of the “overweight range “. I personally have been in my “ideal range” since adulthood, gotta say: I didn’t like how I looked.
I went on to say that I was in it for my health most of all, but preferred to be on the heavier side when it came to appearance. So, there you are: I solidified a goal. Kind of. Somewhat. 😂
Since she’s leaving, I had to choose a new primary. I went with the one who took over when this Dr was out having her baby. I felt like she listened, and was comfortable.
All in all, I continue to have no regrets whatsoever about taking Wegovy. I understand some people have struggled, and though I did in the beginning, once I learned what I could eat without upsetting my stomach, I haven’t had any issues.
I will continue these monthly, rather than weekly, after each doctor appointment. It suits my current schedule better. Due to the holidays, my next appointment January third.
Look, I have blue hair again. 😂
