Alright alright alright. First I’d like to apologize for my extended break, life sometimes gets in the way. 🙂 I weighed in at the doctor on the 8th of August and lost four pounds for a total of 37 pounds since I began.

Soooo…..there have been some changes. First things first, my cravings are back. Not my appetite, thankfully, but I’ve definitely spent a lot of time thinking about chocolate, pizza, and burgers. And, I can tell you with certainty that none of those things make me sick to my stomach to eat them anymore.

A few of my friends have gotten panicked text messages and emails from me complaining that I don’t think it’s working anymore, thankfully, all of them took it well and talked me back from the edge. As did my doctor.

See, I was already to abandon my plan of sticking to the .25 dose of Wegovy, and ask her to raise the dose. I’m still on .25, but I got to be honest with you all, if my weight loss stalls any more, that’s it, I’m going to ask to go up because I’m tired of thinking about junk food all the time.

My appetite still only allows for small amounts of food to be eaten at a time. And, I’ve pretty well maintained a low fat, low calorie, high protein diet with a few slips of a burger, a slice of pizza, and a couple pieces of chocolate.

I’ve maintained my workout routine, and have to set up some appointments to go to physical therapy for my upper back and neck. So, that will add to my routine. It seems I have a few herniated discs in my neck and upper spine to go with the matching ones in my lower back.

Young people, if you’re reading this, do yourself a favor and take care of yourself when you’re young. I worked in nursing homes and group homes throughout my teenage and early adult years, lifting grown men and women by myself. It did a number on my back and I’m now paying….dearly.

For those who have been waiting, here are my progress pics. Below is pre wegovy on the left and at two months on the left.

Here I am last night:

Nick has gone up to .5mg of Ozempic. He’s not really had any side effects that he’s noticed, nor has he lost his cravings or appetite. It’s strange how differently it’s affecting both of us. Though, he has, through sheer willpower, given up all sugar soda in favor of sparking water and lost twenty pounds so far doing so.

For a quick health update: I am still scheduled for Radio Frequency Ablation of the nerves in my sacroiliac joint on September 18th. I see my cardiologist Thursday, and I see no reason for him to turn me down for having the surgery. My bloodwork came back, and my Primary Care Physician is so pleased, she wants me to ask him to take me off of the cholesterol meds!!!

That’s it, that’s all I’ve got this week. I hope you all are having a good one!

Happy Wednesday!

It’s good that Nick isn’t having any side effects from upping his dosage.

Isn’t this the best? I love taking pictures and then looking back on them and comparing to new photos that show improvement. Keep it going, you’re looking good!

Do you find that you don’t notice as much when you look in the mirror and it’s more striking when you see the pics?

When I took my latest picture, I was reviewing it and literally exclaimed “Oh my God”. I couldn’t believe the difference. Yet, I have been looking at myself in the mirror daily.

Absolutely! It works against me sometimes, too, sometimes I think I look better than I do, but the photos tell a different story. My progress photos on my blog are about 8 months apart, so the difference is huge, I’ve seen your progress photos and your improvement is excellent!
