Orlando, Tourist Style

Hi all!

I know it’s been a bit since I checked in, but as I said in my Orlando Science Center post, we have had a friend in town from Michigan. He wanted to do touristy things, and tourist things we did. As you saw the other day, I became a Butterfly Princess/Queen at Lukas Nursery in Oviedo. (Nick and I are headed back there this weekend, I heard a whole lot of Florida Native flowers begging me to take them home while I was there. LOL.)

I thought of trying to do this chronologically, but frankly I’m struggling to remember which day we did what. Holy crap, were we busy running here and there! Today, I will cover the movies we saw, and putt putt. Later this week, I’ll figure out what to talk about next.

In terms of the movies, the very first thing I want to say is: Do not, I repeat, do not go to a 4DX movie showing unless you want to be whipped around a whole lot and possibly get whiplash. I didn’t mind the wind, fog, smells, or mist on my face. However, being thrown to and fro in a chair took me out of the movie far too many times, and killed my back! I had to start sitting forward to lessen the impact.

In order, we saw:

Bugonia: Definite recommend if you like “messed up” movies that keep you guessing.

Predator: Badlands: Surprisingly good. Different from your typical Predator movie.

Running Man: Decent but we are talking a remake here.

First, we went to Gator Golf. Florida is proud of the fact that we have alligators and we mayhaps focus on them a bit much in Orlando for the tourists. Most local putt putt places have gators of some sort. Totally not kidding here.

Anyone who has known me a long time, is aware I love love. Meet my newest love. 😆

Think I can get him a green card? 😆

Here’s some gators because I can’t put up alligator facts without showing you actual alligators, now can I?

Alligators

Here’s Pete, our friend, being put in a headlock by an alligator. LOL

Next, we went to Congo River Golf

Where I’m looking sporty, and imagine dad being proud that I’m “golfing”. 😆

Here’s a picture of me in front of the waterfall, too.

Hope everyone has been having a great week!

BAM here. 4DX, whatever next?! I’ve only been to 2D films and just one 3D film.

Who the heck knows, they’ll probably put us all in VR gear and throw us right into the action.

Well, maybe you can kidnap it and then UPS it to me. 😉

You have a lot of faith in my ability to be sneaky, are you sure you don’t know me well? 😆

4DX? It sounds awful. I don’t need my neck whiplashed again. Ugh.

The putt putt looks awesome! And the decor is so dramatic. I love it!

I love how happy you look in the pictures.
    Hugs!!!

      I don’t blame ya! I won’t be going back.

We had a lot of fun while he was here. Nick wants to go to the butterflies this weekend. I started a trend 😂

The Alien would be a great match… doesn’t talk back and goes well with your hair.
The one fact they left off about gator is that it tastes like chicken….

Yeah he does match, doesn’t he?

      Have you eaten gator?

The menu said they were gator bites but it may not have been.
I don’t even remember where we were at when I had them.

They could have been, who knows with restaurants anymore.

Not sure if I’d enjoy a 4D movie showing since I can get motion sickness 😅

Thanks for the warning about the 4D. You may have to remind me when you have the bloggers retreat next year. — Carpejamie

It’s a painful way to watch a movie and honestly not timed well. They jar you around for no reason and it takes you out of the experience
